Alex Caulfield is an award-winning director and writer with a strong background as a creative producer based in Vancouver, BC.
Embracing a passion for “telling stories that make people feel less alone,” Alex is known for their work on character-driven films portraying complex female and non-binary protagonists. Alex is an alum of the National Screen Institute, the Whistler Film Festival Talent Labs, the WIDC Story & Leadership program, and they were awarded a Creator Mentorship from the Geena Davis Institute. Their debut feature film What Comes Next is a highly anticipated, intergenerational coming-of-age story starring Alison Thornton, Mena Suvari, and Aaron Ashmore is currently in post-production. Away from work they enjoy gardening, cooking, and renovating their nearly 130-year-old house. They live in Vancouver with their spouse, kiddo, and two black cats.
